special presentation/free pizza: impact of winter rains on Marin’s salmon and steelhead

Save the Date!  Come hear about Marin County’s salmon and steelhead, how they’re faring with this year’s floods, and the steps being taken to ensure their long-term survival. Eric Ettlinger Aquatic Ecologist with the Marin Municipal Water District will be making a special presentation on this subject. Eric Ettlinger, Aquatic Ecologist for the Marin Municipal Water District since 1999, will be addressing this topic. He has a Master’s Degree in Wildland Resource Science from UC Berkeley, and has been working as the Aquatic Ecologist for the Marin Municipal Water District since 1999. His major responsibilities include monitoring populations of coho salmon, steelhead trout, and other aquatic species, and enhancing aquatic habitats, particularly through the installation of large woody debris. Eric has recently been quoted extensively on this topic in the Marin Independent Journal, the San Francisco Chronicle, and NBC. Free pizza will be served, and a no-host bar will be available. This is sure to be an interesting event, and will take place at the Marin Rod and Gun Club, located at 2675 East Francisco Boulevard, San Rafael, CA 94901, from 7 PM to 9 PM.
